Subject Change in Last Trading Day for December 2004 Live Cattle Futures and January 2005 Random Length Lumber Options

As you were previously notified in Special Executive Report S-4139 dated September 13, 2004, the last trading day for December 2004 Live Cattle Futures will be Thursday, December 30, 2004, instead of Friday, December 31, 2004.   This change occurred because all CME Commodity contracts now will be closed on December 31.

Because December 31 is not considered a business day for Live Cattle, Last Notice (Intent) Day will continue to be Wednesday, January 5, 2005 and Last Delivery Day will continue to be Tuesday, January 11, 2005.

Likewise, the last trading day for January 2005 Random Length Lumber Options will be Thursday, December 30, 2004, instead of Friday, December 31, 2004.
